Duluth, Minnesota

After traveling 230 miles to Duluth, Minnesota for a four day three night vacation we were all anxious to see what kind of souvenirs the town had in store for us. After shopping for a little bit, we found some good items. We ate supper and then went to the movie theater to watch the Dark Knight Rises. Everyone enjoyed it!

The first stop of the day was “The Vista Fleet Cruise” on the shores of Lake Superior. There was a tour guide on the boat that was very good and explained a lot of interesting facts. When that was done we went to eat a quick lunch and then walked to see the huge tanker ship called the William A Irvin Ship. The third stop of the day was the famous Glensheen Mansion.

After everyone was ready for the day we made our way to the Great Lakes Aquarium. While there we got the opportunity to pet the sting ray in the open tank. Then we headed back to the hotel to watch the Twins game in the lobby before we went bowling!

The last day we all packed up and went to the Lake Superior to enjoy the Maritime Marine Museum. We had a little time to do some more shopping, so we walked to Canal Park. After that we loaded up the van to begin our journey back to Mankato!
