San Francisco

Monday, July 16- Friday, July 20, 2012

Once we got to San Francisco we started touring right away.  Our group then hopped on the “F train” and rode a few blocks before we got our first glance of beautiful San Fran’s harbor. After getting a glance at San Fran’s harbor we stopped at the famous Pier thirty-nine and did a little shopping.

The second day we used our passes of the double-decker bus and toured the city’s life. We were awe struck as we were able to cross a top the Golden Gate Bridge two times. After that we stopped at the famous “Painted Ladies” in Alamo Square and took a few photos pretending to have a picnic just like they did in the opening scenes of “Full House”.

Our third day in San Francisco we stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge again, but this time we crossed it on foot! We crossed the bridge for the last time, which made it the fourth time crossing. Then took a stroll around Pier 31 and waited for our long awaited boat cruise around Alcatraz Island and underneath the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges.

The fourth day we made the walk to Powell Street to climb aboard the world famous San Francisco Trolley to hitch a ride to Lombard Street which is the crookedest street in America. After we went to Ghirardelli Square, famous for all of their delicious chocolates! Then we ended the day going to Chinatown.

The last day we went to Fisherman’s Warf where we took a walk through their wax museum. Then stopped for a treat and headed home. We were sad to say it’s over but we are happy to say we’ve all made some new friends and even better memories!!!
